Welcome To The Rancho Valencia Website

This is a website for all of us to use as a means of communication. Blogs, especially those on blogger.com, are fairly easy to navigate. I would suggest adding the site to your bookmarks to find it quickly. Hopefully we can post board minutes and other valuable information here so that it is easily accessible for everyone.

Below is the initial email Bill Stark sent out earlier this week...

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the RV Blog! Thank you for joining. I very much enjoyed speaking with many of you this last weekend. I think this will really help us as a community. It is kind of a neighborhood watch. We can take opinion polls on subjects before board meetings and share information.

If I have misspelled your name or you want to change your information, please send corrections to me so that I can finalize the list. A couple of homes are between e-mail addresses right now but do want to be a part of the list. I have included the list as an attachment so that you can sort it at will. If you don't see your neighbor on the list it is probably because they weren't home. Go tell them about the list, ask if they would like to be on it, and if they do then send me an e-mail with all the information. Please put RV Blog in the subject line so that even though we may not recognize the e-mail address it was sent from we will know it is from a neighbor. If I get an e-mail from someone I don't know I delete it without opening it.

This distribution is not for selling Girl Scout cookies or advertising your business. It is for communicating things like gate code changes, board meeting changes, information on maintenance or upcoming events. Anyone who breaks the rules may find themselves removed from the distribution list.

So what's on your mind? Hot topics that I discussed with many of you include:

1) The first house on the right as you enter from JFK. The landscaping is turning brown and the trees are dying. It is the signature home for our track and it must be kept looking nice. It is owned by Capital One and Darlene Kearney is the contact. (951)781-9965

2) The orange groves are looking great! Dave Pulver told me that the original plan was to skirt all the trees but to hedge and top every third row. He mentioned Saturday that the board has decided to bite the bullet and do all the rows. NOTE: one neighbor experienced a lot of flying debris (oranges & sticks) from the flywheel cutting machine. . . So look out!

3) Many neighbors expressed interest in having a community block party.

Hope to hear from you soon,
Bill Stark

Graffiti

I'm sure most of you have noticed the graffiti on the split rail fences on Dauchy and JFK. There is also lots of graffiti on and around the abandoned buildings on Dauchy just past the back gates. It wasn't too long ago that some taggers actually made it into our neighborhood and did quite a bit of damage with their graffiti. Please be watchful and contact the authorities if you ever notice anything or anyone suspicious. Below are some phone numbers to call if ever you do see something or need to report any new graffiti.

Riverside Graffiti Hotline: 866-824-3733 or 951.955.3333
